Pockels cell light modulators are designed for high speed laser shutter ad pulsed applications external or internal to the laser cavity. They are also utilized as Q-switches, cavity dumpers and polarization rotators. Crystals used in these devices are fabricated from KD*P (DKDP), RTP, BBO and Lithium Niobate.
